What is the Young Women’s Housing Project?
The YWHP is a voluntary agency, which provides a variety of consistent opportunities for young women who are vulnerable to or who are survivors of sexual abuse, to build a positive belief in themselves, others and their futures.

The Services is available to women who are 16-25 years old, young women who are pregnant and young women with children. Long-term provision enables trusting, supportive relationships to be built, enabling the holistic nurturing, that so many young survivors have missed out on, to take place.
The stability of sustained, tailored care and support in a safe and therapeutic environment provides opportunities for breaking the cycle of abuse, poverty and homelessness that many vulnerable young women find themselves in.
Outreach

Outreach support is available to women who are either moving into, or who already have their own homes, enabling them to successfully establish and/or retain independent living.
DAFSS
Our Project has four Workers who spend some of their time working with DAFSS clients; below is a short description of what DAFSS is about:
"The Domestic Abuse Floating Support Service (DAFSS) provides practical and emotional support to women who have experienced domestic abuse. The Domestic Abuse Forum manages the service which is delivered by experienced Support Workers, based in the specialist domestic abuse projects across the city".
Please note YWHP cannot provide Direct Access Accommodation.
