Recovery & Empowerment Partnership

A grant from the Big Lottery Women & Girls Initiative has given rise to a new and exciting venture for 5 Sheffield based organisations…

The Recovery & Empowerment Partnership has the common goal of  empowering women and girls who have been affected by abuse to take control of their lives, by increasing access and provision of therapeutic and practical support.

The partnership is made up of  YWHP, Vida, Haven House, Ashiana & Chilypep; each having distinct and common strengths; working to meet the practical and mental health needs of women and girls who have been affect by abuse. By pooling resources, knowledge and specialisms we are increasing the difference we make:

  • Increased & improved provision of holistic, person centred, trauma focussed support for women and girls at risk
  • Increased role and voice for women and girls in co-producing services
  • Improved quality of evidence for what works in empowering women and girls

“It would have been harder to deal with my issues regarding sexual abuse (without the support of the project)…I wouldn’t be as aware of how to keep myself safe…I would (probably) still be in harmful relationships.” YWHP client
